Sanctuary Entrance One would think that the First Annual Oktober West would be in October???? Not here in Steamboat…it is September 18-20 to capture the hight of the Fall colors. This is a combination of the previous Steamboat Brewfest and Fall Foilage Festival but will have more family-fun time.

Fun, Food, Fall Colors, Friends, Family, Festivities…. And Beer!
Come celebrate the Fall season at a Steamboat-style Oktoberfest with music, food, beer, games and activities for kids and adults, chef competition and much more. We’re taking all the German Oktoberfest traditions and stamping them with Steamboat’s western brand. No German beer here, just good ol’ Rocky Mountain beer, food and festivities.

Kickoff the weekend Friday night with a cruiser bike parade in Steamboat’s historic downtown leading patrons to their favorite restaurants for beer tastings and food specials. Saturday is packed with entertainment for everyone in the family in a beautiful location, the base of the Steamboat Ski Area. Admission to the event is FREE. In true OktoberWest spirit, try your hand at roping a keg barrel, walk amongst the many artisan vendors and find that can’t-live-without item, sample some of the tasty food and put a refreshing beer in your hand and you have the perfect fall day in Steamboat Springs. Take advantage of the 2 for 1 activities special in the Coca-Cola Adventure and buy one Gondola ticket and it’s good both Saturday and Sunday. While you are enjoying OktoberWest festivities, cheer on the Run Rabbit Run Ultra Marathon race finishers at the finish line after completing a challenging 50-mile run along the Continental Divide trail. Finish the day with some rockin’ entertainment with headliner The Drew Emmitt Band and opening act 3 Wire band (free).

6:00 am     Run Rabbit Run Ultra Marathon race start
10am-4 pm Gondola opens for final weekend (Buy Saturday ticket, get Sunday FREE)
12:00 pm   Keg tapping ceremony at the Steamboat Ski Area
12-7:00 pm 2 for 1 Coca-Cola Adventure Zone Activities
1:00 pm    Lamb Cook-off – featuring local chefs and Routt County Lamb
2:00 pm    Bucking Bull Battle – mechanical bull riding competition
3:30 pm    Cow PIE Challenge – pie eating contest
4:00 pm    FREE concert featuring the Drew Emmitt Band
and opening band 3 Wire
$10 Stein includes 1 FREE BEER- $3 stein refills

Sunday, September 20 – Steamboat Ski Area
